AWANA

What is AWANA?
The goal of AWANA clubs is to "reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him". AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed and is derived from 2 Timothy 2:15, "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" (NKJV). The AWANA program is divided into four distinct groups. The overall AWANA program of FBC is under the direction of Pastor Broersma who serves as the commander. Each group functions generally independently under the leadership of a specific director.
